It is no surprise that when a company such as Netflix steps up to the plate and offers thousands of movies, tv shows starting at $7.99 A MONTH, with automatic channel updates, that many people will find themselves canceling their cable company to migrate over to Netflix. With no service contracts, Netflix allows their customers to come and leave as they please. Many cable companies will stick you with a service contract from one to two years and levy a hefty fee if the agreement term is not satisfied. It appears that Neflix understands that people are human and sometimes will need to sacrifice entertainment due to financial obligations or just not pleased with their service.
